Batik: an ancient dying process

Batik is a process of dying cloth where hot wax is applied to separate the different colors. After the cloth has been waxed using a special "chanting" tool, the dye is painted on by hand. Here at LalaSun Designs we make clothing and tapestries (wall hangings) from cloth which has been "batiked".
